In the News: Slim Chickens Restaurant in Biloxi

Slim Chickens restaurant in Biloxi

We can’t stop clucking about the fact construction has started on a new Slim Chickens restaurant in Biloxi on Cedar Lake Road!

What we know

The fast-casual concept was recently issued a $1.6 million building permit to begin the project. Known for their hand-breaded and cooked-to-order chicken tenders, Slim Chickens is no stranger to Mississippi.

However, this will be the restaurant’s first location on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast! Other locations in our state can be found in Tupelo, Ridgeland, Southaven and Starkville.

Soon, Biloxi residents won’t have to travel far and wide for Slim Chicken’s signature Southern-style buttermilk marinade-soaked chicken. Guests can choose from chicken tenders, wings, sandwiches, salads and wraps, for starters.

The classic meal comes with five tenders, fries, buttery toast and your choice of a house made sauce. Did we mention there are 17 sauces in all? Flavors range from their original sauce to honey mustard to mango habanero.

If you manage to save room for dessert, it might be hard to decide between hand-spun milkshakes or layered sweetness found in dessert jars!

Is it just us or is your stomach now growling too? For more mouthwatering goodness from Slim’s, check out the full menu here.

Located at 916 Cedar Lake Road, Slim Chickens will be just off I-10 near Popp’s Ferry Corner.

You know the spot, where seasonal pop-up tents sell fireworks and Christmas trees. Hopefully, by this summer, when you stop by to get your Fourth of July fireworks, you can also grab lunch at Slim Chickens!

While no official opening date has been announced, the chain did mention a July target opening. One way to keep up with the latest news—including future openings—is to get social with Slim!

You can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
